“Describing the film as a cross between the origin story of the historical Prince Vlad and the more familiar Bram Stoker tale, director Proyas wouldn't say whether or not his Dracula would transform into a bat, although he laughs off the notion that garlic is vampire repellent. But one thing's for sure: Dracula: Year One will have fangs. “Oh, you’ve got to have teeth,” Proyas explained. “I mean, the teeth are really important. I think Frank Langella in the Dracula movie that was made in the 70s, I think he didn’t want to have teeth in the movie. But, no, I like the teeth. I want to see girls with a lot of teeth.””
